I consider it a great blessing to be entering my 12th year at St. Louis King of France School, a school under the guidance and protection of one of the most remarkable saints in the history of our great Church. Saint Louis King of France was a Crusader! He asked God for courage, light, and strength to use his authority well, uphold the divine honor, defend the Church, and serve the good of his people. I pray that God continues to lead me the way He led Saint Louis throughout his courageous journeys in life.
Please join me in welcoming our new faculty members: Mrs. Melinda Carney, Mrs. Bertha Garcia, Ms. Jordan Gilberti (SLKF 2007), Mrs. Kacie Hoerner (SLKF 2001), Ms. Nataly Scheuermann (SLKF 2007), and Ms. Emily Waguespack. We are excited to have them join our SLKF family. You will be receiving a letter from your child’s teacher in the very near future welcoming them to the 2016-2017 school year.
I would like to thank you for your continued support and dedication to SLKF. Due to your generosity, Father and I were able to provide our faculty with a salary increase for the first time in many years. Other improvements include the renovation of the PK2 classrooms, an awning welcoming our parents and visitors into our main building, exterior painting, new fencing in the small yard, new flooring in the computer lab, and eight new smart boards to be installed which will complete our classes with technology in grades PK4 through 7th grade.
The Catholic community of SLKF is based on a strong, traditional foundation of love for the Church and a thirst for knowledge. The students at SLKF are the precious gifts for whom our talented and committed faculty will provide educational excellence, which is promoted through a diverse and rigorous curriculum, a dedicated and knowledgeable staff, and a school/community partnership. Collaboration, cooperation, and open communication between home and school are keys to building a strong foundation for a successful school year. I encourage and invite parent/guardian involvement in an effort to build a positive and successful educational experience for each of your children.
Below you will find VITAL information for your child in preparation for the beginning of the school year, including our school calendar, student handbook, carpool map, and supply lists. Also included are two forms that must be signed and turned in on the first day of school – the handbook signature page and photo release consent form. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the school office.
